New World School of the Arts and the American Institute of Graphic Arts Miami join hands in celebrating this international event by issuing a call for entries for participation in a spectacular World Day of Design Exhibition in the New World Gallery. Thematically, the World Day of Design Exhibition will comment on the state and well being of the planet and environment. World Day of Design gives each of you the opportunity to examine your relationship with your environment and to instill greater awareness in others. Make a statement with your art and join us in preserving our magnificent planet.

WHAT IS WORLD DAY OF DESIGN?
World Day of Design is an international holiday celebrated on April 27 to commemorate the vital role of design in the public arena. This special day represents the creative spirit that underlies all facets of humanity. It's impact is so far reaching that it is already recognized in such countries as Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Italy, Iran, Japan, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Sweden, Taiwan and Turkey.

DONATION OF ARTWORK
All artwork exhibited will be donated to NWSA and become part of a fund raising effort to support the visual arts division. 1/3 of the proceeds from the sale will be given to the artist and 2/3 will go to the visual arts division.
